Professor Leon Terry has been appointed as Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research and Innovation, taking up the post on 1 August 2021. He will be responsible for continuing to drive excellence in Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s transformational research across the University.
Professor Sir Peter Gregson, Chief Executive and Vice-Chancellor of Â鶹ÊÓƵ, said: “I’m delighted that Professor Terry will be leading Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s research and innovation agenda. He has led our Environment and Agrifood theme with distinction, securing investment in leading agri-tech facilities and overseeing Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s Queen’s Anniversary Prize for soil science.
“Professor Terry has an outstanding record of delivering world-leading research and innovation, in particularly in partnerships with businesses such as PepsiCo, Unilever and Johnson Matthey.”
